Top-End rebuild in 2006 at 73,000 miles by Northway Porsche including piston rings, inlet and exhaust valve guides.

Bought by me in Feb 2008 at 75,000 miles from Midland-Ferrari (traded in for a Ferrari). I've spent a further £3,500 at Northway during the last 18 glorious months keeping her just perfect and restoring anything that didn't feel factory fresh, adding to the already extensive service history and invoices going right back to the original owner.

Routine maintenance carried out at Northway during my ownership:-

  • 2008 Feb Purchased. New engine oil and MOT. Fantastic day (three points and £60 fine).
  • 2008 Apr N-rated Bridgestones all round (Front 205/55ZR16) (Rear 225/50ZR16)
  • 2008 Apr Raised suspension and reset Geometry setup to factory spec (it was lowered in the past)
  • 2008 July 12K Annual Service including new Wiper and Indicator stalks (to click like new).
  • 2008 Dec New Pre-Silencer (blowing at joint) and new CV Boot kit (outer split).
  • 2009 Mar N-rated Continentals all round (picked up a screw on wall of rear Bridgestone).

Any inspection welcome.

Every grease-monkey that has had this bad-girl on the ramp during MOT's and Services have complemented me on the lack of rust in any of the usual haunts and I can attest to that as the privileged driver. She doesn't squeak or rattle anywhere and is solid as the proverbial rock throughout that oh-so sweet and slick G50 gearbox. She is dry as a bone in the engine compartment and has never leaked as much as a drip of oil

On a personal note, this motor car has now satisfied and realised my boyhood poster dream (in spades) and I'm pleased that I've managed not to lift-off over-steer this lovely machine into anything and am in a position to hand her over to a fellow aficionado of the mark. An aficionado that, after transferred their money into my bank account, will still have to prize the keys from my hand and once you have successfully done that you should be prepared to witness a grown man cry as you drive away.
